Installer only shows blank gray screen, does not install

Please see this topic: Re: Unable to get flashplayer installer to finish, just see a black box for installation

I am having this exact same issue. I have had trouble updating before but this time it will not work at all. I have tried a complete uninstall using instructions provided on the site. I have also tried in safe mode. I read threads that recommend installing offline versions but the links don't work.At the end of the above thread the admin asks for DXDIAG info, so I am posting mine. I understand this isn't a common problem but I need it to work so any assistance would be appreciated.
