Export scale issue - Premiere Elements 13

    CTgraphy

When I export my video, clips which have been Scaled (In Applied Effects) are not matched to the ratio of the rest of the clips. How do I fix this?

Here is a screen grab showing the problem. The clip is supposed to be zoomed in so the model's eyes are not showing. Instead the whole thing is super-imposed over the letterboxing.

      Thank you!

Premiere Elements 13..This is probably a mismatch of settings.

          Let us explore...

What computer operating system and what project settings (See Edit Menu/Project Settings/General and readings for Editing Mode, Timebase, Frame Size, and Pixel Aspect Ratio

even if the fields look grayed out.)

          What were your export settings

          Publish+Share

          Computer

          and then what

          and then what preset

Did you customize the preset selected or use the default settings for it?

Any question or need clarification, please do not hesitate to ask.

          Thank you.

The basic issue that I am seeing is you taking a 16:9 project into a 4:3 export.

If you want a DV.mov file as the export, then select the Publish+Share/Computer/QuickTime with Presets = NTSC DV 16:9 and let us know

              the results.

We may have to do more fine tuning, but.....

                Thanks! Here are the results.

The letterboxing top and bottom has disappeared. Now the image is stretching too much vertically. Black bars appear on either side of images which are not Scaled.

We need to go back to the beginning and evaluate

                  a. properties of source media imported into the project -

                  video compression

                  audio compression

                  frame size

                  frame rate

                  interlaced or progressive

                  file extension

                  pixel aspect ratio

                  b. does the project preset set (1080i30 - 1920 x 1080 @ 29.97 interlaced frames per second) match the properties of your source media

                  c. before you leave the Edit area are there any black borders showing in the monitor there?

                  c. are the export settings consistent with the project settings?

Please supply the information first for "a", and we will suggest the rest.

Do you have an export requirement...MPEG2.mpg, AVCHD.mp4, or H.264.mov? What frame size do you

want for the export - 1920 x 1080 16:9 or do you really want a SD rather than HD export?

We will be watching for further details.

                  Thanks.
