I am looking for assistance on how to best manage the output of a text field that spans across a page break when printing a report. The Content within the text field is split across two pages with part of the text lost in the margins of footer and header of each page. I need a way to force a page break if the content with in a text field spans two pages.
Thanks

You should look instead to the ColdFusion forums, not this for ColdFusion Builder, which is an editor for use with ColdFusion. A subtlety that may not be obvious if you’re a new CF user.
Just go back to the place where you found this forum, and choose a CF forum (like “getting started”) and ask again. That said, while there is one for “reporting”, that is about a specific CFREPORT feature of CF. Are you saying you’re using that? You don’t mention it, so we should ask.
And BTW, someone may propose that using CFREPORT (and the ReportBuilder, another adjunct tool to CF) may be a way to get what you want. That’s your call, but it’s a very different tool and result, so you should explore that in the docs (the CF docs, not CFBuilder) before taking that on. Don’t just try to wing it with a couple code examples you may find on the net. You have to use this “Report Builder” (not ColdFusion Builder) to “build” your reports.
Hope that’s more helpful than confusing.

Thanks Charlie. I'll post it to the Coldfusion Forum.
My firm has been developing in Coldfusion for the better part of 12 years and we have recently tried to address this issue using Coldfusion Report Builder but have run into limitations with setting some of the properties of a field, like allowing the height of a text field to expand. Simple stuff or should at least be simple.
Thank you for your follow up.

Ah, so you really were meaning to ask about a problem with Report Builder, and that’s why you came here, right? OK, that’s certainly another source of confusion, as the product names are so similar. So yes, you’d want to go to the forum for working with “reporting” (ReportBuilder). There are folks there who work with that tool who should be able to help. Hope it goes well.
