I have 4 layers in an animation that need to be on screen for a few seconds. The layers are trimmed to the time they need to be visible, but at the end, they don't disappear, they remain in the animation just without the bounding boxes. I initially cut 3 of the layers and it worked correctly but when I trimmed the 4th one, all of the images stopped reacting like they ought to. As a workaround, I tried to just use the opacity controls and set them to 0% with a hold keyframe, and that doesn't work either. Any ideas what is wrong?
I am on an iMac, late 2012 i5 running Yosemite.
Purge your cache and your disk cache. If that does not fix the problem we need a screenshot with all properties revealed for the layers that are giving you problems. Just select them and press the U key twice. If you set an out point by moving the CTI to the desired last frame then pressing Alt/Option + ] on any layer the next frame is empty, it has to be. The only reason the layer would still be visible is that it is being incorrectly stored in cache.
Thanks! I just purged last week and forgot it was an option this week, lol. Fixed it right up!
