My client cannot save my CC 2014 .idml file as a CS6 .indd file.

I've created an inDesign file in CC 2014 and I've saved it as a .idml file so that my client can work on it. They can open the file but their system won't allow that file to be saved – it crashes inDesign...

I know that they've opened and saved .idml files from other suppliers which have worked fine. Any ideas as to why can't they save my .idml file?

As a way around the problem, is there a way I can save my file as a CS6 .indd file rather than as a.idml file?

Any suggestions and help would be much appreciated.
