Moving SWF animation in Flash Pro

I have an swf animation that I have imported into my flash (CS5.5) project. The animation loads in the top left corner of the stage. I was wondering how to move the animation to a different area of the stage without having to move it in each and every frame?

Apologies if this is very basic but I havet been trying to figure it out for sometime without any success

If it is a timeline-based animation and you can copy that sequence of frames comprising the animation into a graphic symbol then you should be able to move that symbol anywhere on the stage.  Just make sure you extend the graphic symbol for the same length of frames that the animation occupies.
