Is this something that just started? Please describe your computer:
What operating system?
How much RAM?
How much free disk space?
Any changes that were made just before this happened?
i have an HP envy dv6intel core 2.40ghz8gb ram815gb free disc space of 898gb
I store all my images etc on an external hard drive and work off of that when i am in lightroom
It has been going on for about a month. but the blinking on and off when i work on an edited photoshop image has always been there when I use the adjustment brush.
no changes were made before this started happening.I have noticed my computer has been running a lot slower when on the internet also. but I mostly work in photoshop and lightroom everyday to edit images and it has gotten supper annoying because of how long it takes me to edit an image
That's not RAM, that's disk space. How much RAM (memory) does your computer have?
The problem of getting slow when you use the adjustment brush a lot is a known issue, and it's not really indicative of anything wrong. That's just the way Lightroom is. You'd be better off doing the brushing in Photoshop.
Are there other actions that are slow in Lightroom? If so, which actions?
it says 8.00 GB (installed memory (RAM)
the wierdest thing is some days its fine and other days its slow as hell
it has just been slow in general. I will click on an image to work on and it shows the little rotation circle thing for a while and says loading. then after I move the sliders etc and click on another image it does the same.
How large are the photos in MEGAPIXELS?
Please don't answer in terms of megabytes
