Here is a reference to possible solutions: Removed features and unsupported file formats | Adobe Premiere Elements 13
Do you have a miniDV camcorder and are you referring to DV and HDV capture firewire into the Premiere Elements Capture Window?
It is gone in 13. The last version of Premiere Elements to have this feature is 12.
The link to the Adobe workarounds for the removal of that feature in Premiere Elements 13 has already been given you
Other alternatives where you capture, split clips, and import the split clips into Premiere Elements with its Add Media/Files and Folder include
Movie Maker 2012
HDVSplit HDVSplit 0.77 beta
and there is a $20 program that John T. Smith usually points to (cannot remember its name right now). If you are using Premiere Elements
13 Mac, I will see if I can find the link that he has been recommending. Or he may post the information in your thread if he sees your thread.
Thank you for your quick answer.
Removing a useful capability is very good customer support.
Yes, the DV capture. Removing it is a bit of an irritant. Thanks you’re your help.
