They work in Lightroom fine... is this a Lightroom issue at all?? If not I'll move to the appropriate Forum
If you really want or need to convert to DNG using the converter, you choose the folder in the DNG converter, but you don't double-click on it. The DNG converter works at the folder level. If you open the folder it will tell you there are no files to convert.
Silly me Jim you are absolutely right. That in my opinion is a design flaw. It should as least give some kind of feedback like "by the way you won't be able to see any files..." or something like that.
But anyway, it works fine and thanks Jim!
Yes actually it is a cheapskate problem on my part. I refuse to upgrade past Lightroom 3.x which doesn't understand the latest raw formats, hence the DNG converter usage...
Now that is being cheap!!! hahaha You really should upgrade as there are so many improvements including to the raw data conversion. Remember all this stuff is still in it's infancy and much progress is made quickly. Perhaps hold off a wee while until Lr6 is out which should not be too long from all the rumours.
Look how much you spend on the camera and how little to get the best results....
