50 button limit — feature or bug?

I have a 104 page InDesign doc that is being exported as an interactive PDF. On each page are two buttons, one to go to previous page and one to go to next page. When I open the file in Acrobat I get a warning:

The file contains NO fillable form fields. If I reduce the page count to less than 50 I don't get this message so I'm guessing that there is a limit of 100 buttons you can use in one file? If I export four 26-page PDFs I don't get this message but when I combine the files I get this message when I add the last one (bringing the total page count of the PDF to 104):

I tested this by creating a new document with just two buttons on the master page and added and deleted pages, exporting as PDF, until I arrived at the 100 figure (50 pages with two buttons, 100 pages with just one button)

Anyone know of a work-around? Anyone know what I'm doing wrong?
