This camera was recently introduced, after the last version of Lightroom and Adobe Camera Raw update was issued.
Updates are usually issued about every 3 months, it will have to wait its turn.
Thank you, I realise that now. I have a few further questions as I have not had to do this before:
- What is the best way of learning of the update when it is eventually released? Here on this forum?
- Can I register anywhere to be sent an alert about the update release?
- Will it be an email link to the updated software for Lightroom which I will follow?
Thanks for your assistance.
Look here, or let Lightroom check for you (tick the "Automatically Check For Updates" box in Edit > Preferences > General).
Adobe will also push out an email IIRC, but usually a while after the update has been released, in my experience.
Thank you... yes I have that ticked in Lightroom. Can you explain what IIRC is please?
"If I Remember Correctly", Dreamwork - nothing complicated.
When you check for updates in LR.. it only check for Adobe version of LightRoom.. not for RAW addition. If that was true we would not have this thread.
So what do you suggest?
As I pointed out, this forum usually provides information about version updates which include details of new camera support; Adobe often sends out emails about new versions; and it maintains this page: Camera Raw plug-in | Supported cameras.
Short of sending someone out to your house to tell you personally, I'm note sure what else Adobe can do.
It's our responsibility to find these things out - to be "intelligent customers" - anyway.
