What actually gets synced between Lightroom and lightroom.adobe.com when I set up syncing between desktop and LR Mobile on my Ipad. I understand that the files don't reside on the mobile device (unless I make them available for offline editing . . . and maybe even this just some sort of preview file). I also think i understand that nothing synced in this way counts towards online storage allocation.Right?
It makes sense that something needs to be uploaded online in order to be distributed elsewhere. But what is actually living online? I have a rather slow upload speed, and I was expecting syncing to go much faster than the comparable file being actually uploaded to storage. Thanks.
Smart previews. Usually under 1 Mb per photo.
Thanks John. I have LR Mobile running on both a Iphone (for "other way around" Iphone to LR shots) and on my IPad both, so now that I think of it, I bet part of the slowness was this preview file going up to the web and also synching to other devices. So I guess it's all OK.
Appreciate the response.
