That is not nearly enough ram for AE and that many cores/threads. If your going to get the 14 core chip then you need atleast 64GB of ram to feed that many cores. Otherwise your wasting your money on that cpu.
....Eric may have the most expert advice on this topic....he builds machines at ADK for what you are talking about.
You may want to ask him about Haswell E...AE requires CPU clock speed, many cores, and large system memory. Also, a fast, separate drive for the " global performance cache" is beneficial. The GPU use is less than what is used in Premiere ....a solid GeForce card like the NVidia 970 may suffice. Eric can advise
Thank you Eric for your expert advice. I took your words and decided to have a system built for me using the i7-5960x processor, 64 GB RAM, etc. I compared this processor with xeon's and it had excellent stats. I think this setup will be good enough for what I do with After Effects, AI, Photoshop and Premiere Pro.
Eric did reply to my thread and he caused me to decide to have a system built using the i7-5960x processor with 64GB RAM...etc. It should be quite sufficient for what I do with After Effects CC, Premier Pro, AI, and Photoshop.
Thanks for your reply.
