If you have synchronized date and time between both your cameras then file names should not be an issue, since you can always sort your photos according to capture date and time.

Thanks for the reply. Definitely have synchronised date and time between both cameras each time so that's not the issue. And yes the images are always in capture order when imported and viewed in the LR program however the problem is only when I export and I am pretty sure it has something to do with the file names I am using when exporting (what should I do here)? Let me know what other info you need from me. thank you again

But you haven't told us what the problem is.
I am thinking that a more accurate description of the problem is:
After exporting the images, the names given to the exported files do not sort in the same order as the capture times in the Library module.
The trick to this would be to name the files so that the capture time is included in the file name, or the file name contains a sequence number. Either way, the time or sequence number will need to be near the beginning of the file name.
