How to disable Full Motion Recording (FMR) during assessment mode?

Objective: Create a software assessment (about 50 click and text entry boxes)

Problem:

FMR is randomly triggered during assessment mode, so a LOT of the required interactions are missed in addition to that PC slow down making mouse non-responsive, and manual snapshot actions delayed.

Current workaround:

Use Manual key for  Screen Capture along the record. That helps with having screens in place, but does not cure the PC slow down and hours of clean up work (deleting FMRs and adding manual interactions)

System: HP laptop (i5 cpu, 16 Gb RAM, SSD HDD)

Software: Captivate 8.0.1.242

Please help.

FMR will only be triggered with dragging/scrolling mouse actions. Try to avoid them during capture, mostly they can be replaced by shortcut keys (that will be captured) like PgDown or arrows or by clicks (use the buttons at the end of the scrolling bars or click on the scrolling bar instead of scrolling with the mouse).

Hi Lilybiri, thank you for prompt reply.

I Will definitely consider your advice. In our case we can live OK without scrolling.

Though there are still quite a lot of mouse dragging actions. (Agilent MassHunter Qualitative Analysis)MassHunter_Qual_Analysis.PNG

Thank you for the reply.

From experiment and observation we found that in addition to Mouse dragging and scrolling, drop down menus also trigger FMR
