I don't understand the question. Are you asking how to create a scrolling frame in InDesign or if scrolling frames can be used in other output?
I want to create a make-shift navigation scroll bar like the ones that are used in magazines. When you tap any page, you get a navigation bar with thumbnails of all pages in the mag so you can jump to any page you like.
Could this be done with a combination of scrolling frames, master pages and Button (links) ?
One more time…what is the intended output? DPS? EPUB? PDF?
HTML5 through In5.
Use the folio overlays panel to set up the scrolling frame as though you were doing so for DPS. Export using in5.
It should work.
I got it working using folio overlays and it looks good. Thanks.
If I'm on page 10 and I tap on the thumbnail for page 20 (which is a "go to page 20" button), it takes you to page 20...no problem.
However, when I now swipe forward from page 20, it takes me to page 11, not 21. If I swipe back, it takes me to page 10, not 19.
Is there a way to get around this issue?
Send me an email with your your files and I'll take a look.
