How to create multivendor marketplace website in Adobe Business Catalyst?

Is it possible to create a marketplace where vendors can create their shop page, manage their products and receive orders etc.

I was thinking if we can do it using user submitted web apps?
Can we do it using web services or api? (not sure about it as I do not know how far we can go with it)

I think main issue is managing products by members so can't we use web services?

Its going to be a mess, there is only one CRM database so you would not want to mix the customers, you only have one orders database so you would essentially have to re-create everything as a webapp and then build you own checkout but since there is no API for webapps the payment methods would be strange, you would end up with worst webservice in history trying to make something like that on a single BC account.

Unless you have at least a million and want to do it properly just to get something up and running to then pitch to investors.. Your crazy to try if you think 20k for example will do.. AND THEN be able to compete with Etsy and Amazon with no marketing budget too.
