mx:TextInput - Altering the inner margins

      Hi All,

I was wondering if it's possible to get rid of the few pixels of white padding that covers a TextField when you resize the height down (say to a height of < 20 px). When this is the case, the font gets clipped by what looks like a mask over the field.

I cant find anything that mentions it except for a constant scoped to mx_internal called TEXT_HEIGHT_PADDING. I've tried altering this to no avail.

It occurs to me that a font of a sensible size (say 9 or 10), could fit in a box of that kind of heigh if it wasn't for the clipping.

What puts this extra padding there, and how do I get rid of it? Any clues much appreciated =)
