    TLS support in Flex3

    ss12345888 Level 1

      Does flex support https calls using TLS protocol?

      I have an application that makes https call to certain APIs. This used to work correctly.

      But after the support for ssl was disabled by the API, the calls are returning 2032 IOerror.

      Here is the code snippet that makes the call:

                      public var _service:HTTPService;

                      this._service = new HTTPService();

                      this._service.url = 'endpoint';

                      this._service.resultFormat = "text";

                      this._service.method = "POST";

                      this._service.addEventListener(ResultEvent.RESULT, resultHandler);

                      this._service.addEventListener(FaultEvent.FAULT, faultHandler);

      Is there a way to handle this in Flex 3.

      Please help.

          Don’t know for sure, but if you are using Windows, try hitting the same URLs from Internet Explorer.  Some folks have found that AIR and maybe Flash uses the same OS libraries that IE does.  Other browsers don’t.  But if your IE settings  for “internet Options” aren’t right, then https calls can fail in AIR and Flash.

            @Alex Thank you so much . Your answer helped me in solving this.

            On checking the Internet Explorer settings I found that 'Use TLS option' was unchecked. After enabling that option the calls are working fine now.
