Default option in Preferences is "Prompt for workspace on
startup" and it is known that Flex Builder currently does not
prompt for the workspace when launched.
This becomes a real problem if the workspace normaly resides
not on the local disk but somewhere else on the LAN. As long as
laptop is on LAN Flex Builder always opens the last open workspace
from the remote server and after that it is possible to switch to
another workspace. But if you take laptop offline, Flex Builder
crashes on startup when it is not able to find the last opened
Hopefully this bug will be fixed some day. But meanwhile has
anybody found a workaround for that problem?
Ok, I found a workaround myself. Probably this temporary
solution might help the others. There is a way to launch Flex
Builder from command line with the parameter -data <workspace
So when working offline it is possible to point to the local
workspace on startup.
