Do you have the latest version of QuickTime installed on your computer along with Premiere Elements 9?
Premiere Elements 9 on what computer operating system? Are you working with the 9.0.1 Update of the program.
Please point us to the export button that is dormant (inactive, grayed out).
When you go to export your Timeline, you go to
where you have choices of
Mobile Phones and Players
Where in all that is this specific export button that is dormant?
Or are you saying that the Share tab itself is the one that is dormant?
I'm saying that the actual export button inside the tab is grayed out. I am
able to successfully go inside the file tab, but the export button is
grayed out. How do I get it to become (black) again so I can export ? If
need be, how do I send a screen shot ?

Thanks for the reply.
I think that the screenshot idea is good. The following should give the how to for posting a screenshot.
The specified item was not found.
But wait a minute...where are you in the export choices File Menu or Share?. Are you doing
and looking for Movie?
There has not been a File Menu/Export/Movie in that area since Premiere Elements 7. All exports in 9.0/9.0.1, see
what is under the Share header.
Since Premiere Elements 7, the File Menu/Export/ exists only for saving Titler titles. And to do that you highlight your title file
in Project and then go to File Menu/Export/Title which will be fully active.
Please let us know if that is the issue. If you want to export your Timeline content, I can provide more information for
the Share section choices that I mentioned in post 1.
Looking forward to your follow up.
I apologize, you just helped me fix my problem. I was using the file menu.
I was suppose to use share. It works now. I had to use the share option.
Thank you so much for your help Adobe !

No apologizes necessary. Glad for the opportunity to be of assistance.
That File Menu/Export/Movie is a handy feature in Premiere Elements 7. Any many expect it
still to be there.
Just a reminder....this is not Adobe...rather user to user forum. The frequency of the Adobe presence in this
forum is not defined. I am not affiliated with Adobe in any way...just a user of the programs wanting to share
Premiere Elements information with another use of the program.
We are pleased that you are moving forward in your Premiere Elements projects.
