Hello Cliffy, how you doing...
Well, there isn´t a direct way to do that. I recommend a lot of research in the web and in this forum.
I will give you a quick answer:
How to Insert to Mysql: A BASIC EXAMPLE
FLEX ---------by a data Service -----------> Data Handler (ex:php or asp) -------SQL Query------> MySQL
You can use the HTTPService has the data Service...Its more simple...
This Guide will help you to understands what we are talking about.
In a more Advance State, you can use AMFPHP... Try playing with HTTPService first.. ;)
Hope i give same help..
You also might want to look into Flex Data Services(FDS), its a free download for single processor machines. I am using FDS in my application, but it connects to a Access2000 database. That is how I had it configured orignially, but since then I have found that it is able to connect to other databases. I haven't changed databases however, so don't know how to do it without research.
Actually, FDS comes with a sample application called sqladmin. A working sql administration application. I would suggest downloading FDS from adobe and picking apart this application. Here is its location in the directory Drive:\fds2\jrun4\servers\default\samples\sqladmin
Hi guys thanks for the quick reply. I try inserting a date into my datebase but for some reason it doesn't work. I am using PHP and AMFPHP to connect to the database. Can someone tell me how to do this?
