what flash pro version is she using?
She's using the creative cloud version
flash cc only allows export movie for various bitmap sequences and animated gif.
for avi,mov,wav options, she can use cs6 (which is included in her cc subscription).
Does she have to install a separate program then? After all this trying to sort things out she won't be happy about that but if that's honestly what we need to do then we'll have to.
Why is it that CC can't save to these file types anyway?
yes, she'll need to install flash pro cs6. she should open her cc desktop app>applications>filters&versions>previous versions>flash install>cs6.
afaik, adobe prioritized the features when going from a 32bit to 64bit app and decided those export options were not a priority.
You can still export to other video formats in Flash Professional CC 2014.
File ->Export ->Export Video
In the dialog which is posted, please make sure "Convert video using Adobe Media Encoder" is selected.
Click Export, this will launch Adobe Media Encoder(AME) CC 2014 version.
In AME, click on format dropdown. By default H.264 will be selected. You can select whichever format you want and click on green play button.
With AME integrated with Flash Professional CC 2014, you can publish to lot more and recent video formats.
