I have been working With Framemaker 10 for some time now, I am now trying to move towards InDesign CS5 for the XML advantages etc.
A feature I have used often in Framemaker is placing frames above and below paragraphs. In Frame these are created in the reference page and can be used for adding the likes of caution or warning tags to documents etc.(see Below)
is this a feature which is available in InDesign CS5, as there is no Reference pages like Frame? is there another way this can be done?
Any help would be greatly appreciated
I've never used Frame, so I have no frame of reference (no pun intended). It looks to me though as if the nearest analog might be something like a library with you additional text frames that can be dragged into the file as needed, and can be anchored in the text. Your rules can be applied directly to paragraphs as either a Rule Above or Rule Below and can be included int paragraph style definition.
That's great, Thanks for the reply! your a life saver!
