Sony PRS 650 not being recognized by ADE. Someone please help!

I have a Sony PRS 650 that is a recognized device by Adobe but it is not being recognized by ADE and does not show up. Needless to say I cannot transfer any e-books to my device.  Any suggestions on how I can resolve this issue will be most helpful!
