AE CC 2014, Hit Film 3 and Video Copilot plug ins, Windows 7, All recent updates are installed. It just happened while I was RAM previewing, but I was RAM previewing all day and this didn't happen before
This usually means there is a dialog box open. The dialog box may be on another monitor, or hidden behind another application's window. If you don't see a dialog box, press the Esc key, which should exit the dialog and return you to the user interface. If that doesn't work, try the Enter key.
I assume you're on Windows; sometimes Windows gets confused and doesn't place the application in focus, which could also cause this problem. Try switching to a different application and then back to After Effects.
Thank you for your help. It didn't work so I just restarted my computer.
