The "Will Save" and "Will Close" events are only triggered after an action to save the PDF or close the PDF has started.
Hi, can you explain how you are getting the PDF to close the document after being open for 10 minutes? I am trying automate the file to close after a set time (or at a certain time each day).
You can use the app.setTimeOut method to trigger the close to happen after 10 minutes but then the user might be in the middle of something when it happens. To make the 10 minute limit reset automatically, you'd need to cover every page with a transparent button that can detect mouse movements so that the 10 minute start period gets reset with any user interaction.
Your best option is to use app.setInterval to ask the user if they are still using the document every 10 minutes.
Select Trigger: Mouse Up
I also noticed that after I save/close my document and re-open, this button changes the selected action to "execute a menu item". Am I using the correct trigger action or even putting my code in the correct area to make this work?
Notice the double quotes wrap the script and internal strings are single quotes.
I finally have it working. Thank you for your help!
