Because Adobe always makes troubles for customers - never and nothing easy for us! Shame on you, Adobe!
The only way I see to cancel Adobe membership - ask my bank to block any requests for payment from Adobe!
I started my membership only for one reason - to be able to remove photos which I uploaded to cloud during trial membership from my iPhone...
People, listen please - you can not delete your uploaded photos after trial ends, because you can not enter to your cloud without membership! And after subscribing to membership, you can not easy cancel your membership, you are in Adobe trap ;-)

Though I have asked you to confirm the cancellation , reading the second post, I have cancelled the CC purchased on May 21st 2015, you will not be charged any ,ore.
The CC purchased on 02/01/15 is still active, do you want to cancel it, please confirm. This is digital river order.
