Hi,
I would like to have a wish list functionality at the front-end of my website. Just for visitors to mark items, collect them for a later use or print out. Items have data like date, name, venue, and two more. Should be collected on an extra page for overview and printout.
Can I misuse the shopping-card functionality for this? Dont need login or payment, no checkout-process, just an overview, session-based.
If you need this to be session-based (users should not need to authenticate before they can use this feature) I would recommend using a cookie to store the IDs of the items when the users click the "Add to wishlist button".
We have a similar how-to article here - e-Commerce related In this how to items (product IDs) are added to the cookie automatically when the site visitor opens up the product detail page. Instead, you will need to add the trigger for the .js that updates the cookie to a button

Hope this helps,
