lightroom 5 will not upload from disk to windows 8

at a certain point it stops installing and throws an error. Unfortunately I cant even bring it up again because it then started trying to undo install. The clearing actions stopped functioning, Now it won't run install because another install is running. I performed file search for lightroom, there is no app data anywhere, just empty files with the lightroom name. what do I do?

restart you computer.

copy the installation files from your disk to a desktop directory.

install from the desktop directory.

Hi Tyler,

Keith is correct. restart your computer and clear your temp files. You can download Lightroom 5. 3, install it and then update Lightroom to 5.7

actually, there's no reason to install anything other than the latest version (and then update) if the op is going to download the installation files.  the latest version is 5.7.1, as of today.

‌tthis is the error I keep getting. No matter how I try to install it. Adding to the desktop got me to a point where I could register my product, then threw this at me.
