At least once a month when opening Lightroom I'm presented with a bunch of question marks placed over folders containing pictures held on my NAS drive.
The NAS drive is correctly mounted and working properly but each time it happens I have to remind Lightroom where each target folder is located and it's becoming rather annoying!
Does anyone else have this problem?
Any chance that the drive(s) are setup to go to "sleep" when not in use?
Doh! I'm so stupid!! The reason this was happening was because I have two NAS drives with the same name ("shared") mounted on the desktop. One of those drives contains all my photos. If the other drive mounts first after a system restart, the name of the drive with all my photos subsequently gets auto-renamed to "shared-1" and breaks the directory path. This is why LR kept needing to be reminded where the photos were. I've since changed the name of the photos drive to something else and all is working fine
