    Reviving Super Underexposed Photos

    Zedits Level 1

Hey does anyone have any suggestions reviving super underexposed photos?  I.E. Concert Photography where the band decides to have all house lights off and leave a small blue light just to make some sort of image out of it but it's still too dark.  Any advice/presets/workflows/links would be greatly appreciated.

The obvious solution is the first one you should try. In Lightroom, increase the exposure and increase the noise reduction. But it's never going to look like a photo that was taken in bright light.

If that's not good enough, I think we'd need to see the photo for further suggestsions.

Yeah I'm assuming it's completely unusable.  I was purposely doing this as a lightroom test to see what it can/cannot do.

It's a beyond terrible photo and practically unrecognizable, looks like black shadows so I'm sure there's no real solution to this.  I was just hoping there would be some sort of workflow for scenarios like this aside from "get a better lens."

Without Exif and gear details, it's impossible to make any useful suggestions.

I'm aware this isn't the best camera and lens.

It will never be pretty, but with a little work it can record a memory as a snapshot.

Applying lots of contrast, playing with the tone curve, converting to black/white, and removing lots of blue helps.
