Why is it that if I use a cross dissolve on a single piece of video for, let's say 10 frames, it acts not gradually (at all). Imo it should dissolve +-10% every frame, right?
In PP 2014 it is more like:
Frame 1 - 2%
Frame 2 - 5%
Frame 3 - 10%
Frame 4 - 17%
Frame 5 - 25%
Frame 6 - 30%
Frame 7 - 40%
Frame 8 - 50%
Frame 9 - 60%
Frame 10 - 100%
This last step... It looks ridiculous. and also the other standard dissolve options don't work out for me.
Is the only option the pen-tool and manually create a dissolve?
Two things you can try, uncheck the 'Composite in Linear colour' box at the bottom of the sequence settings menu, or turn off GPU acceleration in the Project Setting menu.
Rather than finding a work-around. How about it gets fixed.
This means that the GPU can not be used efficiently.
