Try restoring your InDesign preferences:

done that. Not working. Looks like a problem between OS and AdoBe :-(
No problem on my MacBook btw.
It seems to be a problem with the navigation services from the OS or the connection from InDesign to them.
If only InDesign is affected try to uninstall and install it again, if other applications are affected (try InCopy and Illustrator) then it must be a problem in the OS. But normally InDesign should work fine in this area, I am doing it all the time.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled and the problems have gone.
