    Master text/graphic frames frustration

    mccarverrd Level 1

When I create a text or graphics frame on a Master Page and then attach that Master Page to a page in my document, I find it very difficult to use them correctly.

I can barely see the text / graphic frame and I cannot get the loaded cursor to show the icon in parentheses, which is supposed to signal that the text or graphic will be loaded in the master frame.

Shouldn't InDesign give me a very strong (by color or bold line or SOMETHING) indication that the frame exists and is EASILY available for me to place a graphic or text.

As it is, if I didn't know it was there, I would never notice it and I find it nearly impossible to place anything in it even when I know it's there.

      Surely, I'm missing something??

      Thanks, friends...
