Is there an easy way that Lightroom can look through directories and find photos that have not been imported? I have a directory structure by year/general subject/specific subject (e.g. 2015/trips/grand canyon) that was set up long before I used Lightroom. I've noticed there is an odd photo here and there not imported. Is there a way to highlight or otherwise identify these?
My directory structure is large - 120 GB and about 24k photos. I've tried making a separate folder and then importing to that and selecting each folder in my structure to see if there are any non-dimmed photos but that is time consuming to go through each one.
Never mind - just found the solution which was choose top level directory then I found the switch to show sub-directories and only photos not already imported.
You can also select a folder in the left brower panel and choose "synchonize".
