I created an arrow graphic in After Effects, and I want to import it into Premiere Pro to place over a specific shot to point at something. The problem is, after I render the graphic in After Affects and import it into Premiere Pro, the arrow is there but the graphic also includes the square solid colored background. I don't want the background. I just want the arrow, so that I can lay it over a shot. How do I do it??
Render out of AE using a codec that supports alpha channels. I like Quicktime movies in the Animation or PNG codecs for that. RGB+Alpha, Millions of Colors +, and Straight (i.e. NOT Premultiplied).
Use the Render Queue. Don't Export.
That did it! Thanks Dave.
