The things you are asking for would be much better done in a video editing program like Premiere. After Effects is not a video editing program. Bringing videos together and editing them is much more Premiere's realm.
After Effects is a compositing and motion graphics program. Compositing is when you place things together like an explosion behind an actor or someone on a greenscreen into a new environment. That's what AE is for. Well, that and it's the #1 tool for creating motion graphics.
If you want to learn AE, this is the best free resource I know: Getting started with After Effects (CS4, CS5, CS5.5, CS6, & CC)
I really appreciate your CLEAR point... What you explained about AE is a big wide - wake up call for me!
You just mentioned about Premiere - Can you please direct me to this? with hope that it has tutorial as well as included with closed caption(CC). Even thou I am very aware about Lydna.com with having great Tutorial with CC, I would like to go ahead very first with Premiere.
Yeah, you are right about AE having cool everything that I could add etc in video. Yet, it is true that I am not ready but put such lots of ideas aside till I know how to do with editing first then later I could do "composition" in it.
Hope you don't mind giving me more wake-up! where to fine Premiere...
Millions of thanks!
Here are some CS4-specific help places:http://help.adobe.com/archive/en_US/premierepro/cs4/premierepro_cs4_help.pdf
If you don't have Premiere in your old CS4 purchase, you might consider signing up for Creative Cloud. Not only would you get a much newer version of AE that is built to take a bit more advantage of modern computers (version 13 of After Effects as opposed to CS4 which is AE version 9), but you will get new versions of Premiere, Photoshop, Illustrator, and more for a pretty reasonable monthly price.
