A few days ago Lightroom reported that I had 0 photographs without keywords. Hooray at last I've completed my categorising.
The next day I moved a couple of folders and discovered some duplicate photos. Lightroom wouldn't delete them (don't ask me why the error message was as usual uninformative), so I deleted them in File Explorer.
I then resynchronised the folder and now have more than 6k photos without keywords. Many of the photos have .xmp side-car files containing keywords, so how can I force Lightroom to read the files that it created?
I'm using Lightroom 5.7 on an Acer Aspire E1-571 running64bit Windows 8.1.
Thanks in advance
You did use LR to move the folders, did you?
Synchronizing folders shows the option to look for Metadata changes as well.
Do you see a Metadata warning on every image?
