I have used LR5 standalone for over a year. I bought a tablet running Windows 8 a month ago, so I could use LR5 away from home and then transfer stuff to my pc later. I downloaded LR5 but the Mobile version, as I couldn't see the standalone one. Although I never used the mobile aspect of it, the rest was fine, but a few days ago the Develop module expired. How can I best get LR5 working on my tablet again without paying for a whole new program or for LR5 Mobile?
I think you have a misunderstanding of what Lightroom Mobile is. It is not the full Lightroom program, and it isn't available for windows devices yet. I think what you have done is you have downloaded the creative cloud version of Lightroom. It cannot be activated with a serial number. And after your trial version has expired the develop module becomes inactive by design. It will be necessary for you to uninstall that version of Lightroom, and install from this location:
This is the trial version, but it can be activated using your existing serial number.
Jim, thanks for your reply. I shredded all my LR files, then downloaded from the link, but each of several attempts gave 'fail'. What else would you suggest?
