What version of Premiere Elements and on what computer operating system?
Without further information, my first impression is that you are involved in a typical iTunes music Premiere Elements situation in which
the iTunes music needs to be converted to the wav version and then that wav version imported into Premiere Elements. For that conversion
of iTunes music to wav version, please see
The other consider may be related to where you are creating the slideshow - Elements Organizer or Premiere Elements Editor.
Also for consideration may be whether or not you are working with Elements Organizer 13/13.1 which is different from prior Elements Organizers.
Lots of questions needing answers in order to target your question. Please also include properties of your iTunes music. Is the file extension
actually mp4 of something else?
Premiere Elements 9
I haven't used this program very often and the first time for a slide show. Somehow I created the show using Organizer.
iTunes downloads are MPEG-4 Audio files.
MPEG-4 Audio (.m4a)
Thanks for the reply.
I just checked in my Premiere Elements 9.0/9.0.1 with its Elements Organizer.
I believe the iTunes conversion from m4a to the wav version will resolve your issue.
Please let us know the outcome. Can I assume that there are photos in the Slideshow Editor Filmstrip besides the audio?
Thanks for your reply on this. I was able to convert these files to MP3 files via iTunes and they were loaded to the slide show. Not sure why this needed to be done as MPEG-4 files appear to be supported in Elements 9.
But thanks again, I can continue the slide show prep now.
Just a note - the .mp3 or .wav version appears to work in the Elements Organizer 9 Slideshow Editor.
But, audio needs to be under a photo not an empty space above it in the Filmstrip.
Please check that out.
Thanks for the follow up with the good news.
I did not see your last post until after I had posted my note in post 6.
iTunes music and Premiere Elements (essentially any version) has this history.
Best wishes with your projects.
