I spent several hours editing a large batch of photos. Upon completing my edits, I selected all and then "export". I updated my export settings and then selected okay. My photos did not export and my folder in Lightroom was empty. I did have the show subfolders active but there were 0 photos in the folder. Also, my "Previous Import" folder contained 0 images as well.
I synchronized the empty folder and now my photos are back (included my rejected ones) but my edits are gone. Is there a way to restore my edits? My last back-up only contains the unedited versions as well.
Exporting photos does not delete them. Something else more complicated from what you described apparently happened.
Yes, I know. I export photos regularly without problem. I'm not sure what happened this time. I'm just hoping I don't need to re-edit the whole batch again.
If you have a backup of your catalog with the edits in there, then you could open that. Or if somehow the catalog you opened doesn’t have your photos because it was an old copy and you can find a newer copy then open that newer copy, otherwise, I don’t think the edits are anywhere.
