    Intro button to open another SWF

      Hello. I have an intro that at the very end I have a button to press. What ActionScript code would I use to have that button when clicked launch a 24 slide presentation I have already created? This will be a locally run presentaton, no web whatsoever is used. I just want to use the intro for a presentation I have.

      I have two files. The intro and the slide presentation. How can I make the presentation play after the intro? Hope I make sense. Thank you for your time and reading.

          to import external .swf files do the following...

          in your intro FLA, add a emptyMovieClip to a separate layer, and give it an instance name of "holder" minus the " "
          then on the same keyframe add the following actions to it:

          //this line creates a moviecliploader called loader_mc
          var loader_mc:MovieClipLoader = new MovieClipLoader();

          //this line tells loader_mc to load the external file, and where to load it in to.
          loader_mc.loadClip("slide_presentation.swf", "holder");

          then for the button all you need to do is send the playhead to the frame containing the emptyMovieClip. for example:

          my_btn.onRelease = function(){
          gotoAndStop("slideshow");
          }

          or if you have your actions on the button its self:
          on(release){
          gotoAndStop("slideshow");
          }

          hope this helps..
