I'm going to do some drawing with the graphics API and am
having a hard time knowing where to place the points –
especially for the curveTo(). Does anybody know any free tools for
the Mac where I could draw a shape using the authoring tools and
then retrieve its lineTos, curveTos and points? Ideally I would
want to create an xml or some such data file that looked like:
and so on…
JSFL magic, some kind of decompiler, something I'm not even
thinking of? Any help would be great.
any such thing that would have zero error tolerance would end
up being a sequence of lineTo's from point to point and you could
create that with the bitmapdata class.
if you had a non-zero error tolerance (between the shape you
drew and the shape that would result from a curveTo) you could
probably move beyond a point to point description but it would be
so much work and so time-consuming for flash it's hard to conceive
a benefit over the more accurate, more easily done and less
resource intensive point to point description.
