Many thanks for this! I managed to install the Flash Player with this successfully after many failed attempts before.

I have done all of that, and successfully downloaded the installer. however, after I run the installer there are no files, no visual notification under 'Start' as usual, and after the install, if I search, no Adobe flash anywhere.
