I am assuming that your question is about applying video and audio transitions in Premiere Elements 10.
Please clarify what you mean by "transition tool".
What are you considering as the "transition tool"...clicking on one of those 3 or double clicking the transition
to bring up transition adjustment area (duration, alignment, etc)?
On what computer operating system is your Premiere Elements running?
Is your video card/graphics card up to date according to the web site of the manufacturer of the card?
Is problem with audio as well as video transitions? Are you working with trimmed or untrimmed clips?
Does the problem involve all the transitions or just certain ones.
Please review and consider and then we can decide what next.
I'm referring to Video Transitions. Under the Edit tab is Transitions along with four other selections. When ever I click Transitions the program freezes forcing me to close and re-open it. As a result, I'm not able to see nor use any of the Transitions.
Thanks for the reply. From your description, it would appear that all you have to do is click on the Transition Tab and the program freezes/crashes.
You do not even have to select a transition.
If your video card/graphics card driver version is up to date according to the web site of the manufacturer of the card, the card is not NVIDIA GeForce, and the problem is present in all projects, then
1. Delete the Adobe Premiere Elements Prefs file
Local Disk C
and in the 10.0 Folder is the Adobe Premiere Elements Prefs file that you delete. If that does not work, then delete the whole 10.0 Folder in which
the Adobe Premiere Elements Prefs file exists. Be sure to be working with Folder Option Show Hidden Files, Folders, and Drives enabled so that
you can see the complete path cited.
2. If "1" does not resolve the problem, then go for
Uninstall the usual Control Panel way
free ccleaner run through (regular and registry parts)
Reinstall with antivirus and firewall(s) disabled.
Any questions or need clarification on the above, please let us know.
