Yosemite Security Update Broke NVIDIA Graphics Driver

    Mesmer3001

      Hi -

I'm looking for assistance on how to install an updated graphics driver on an early 2008 Mac Pro with a Quadro FX 4800 graphics card. The machine has 2 boot disks: One running 10.10.2, and an older one running 10.10.

Recently, I installed the Yosemite security update 2015-003 on the 10.10.2 system. It broke the NVIDIA driver and now the machine won't boot on that particular disk. If I command+option+p+r during a restart, I can get it to boot using the older, 10.10 disk.

Yesterday, NVIDIA released an updated driver (WebDriver-343.02.02f04.pkg) that apparently fixes the problem. How do I install that driver on the newer boot disk when I'm logged into the older boot disk?

      Thanks for any assistance.

      Ed
