Handling exceptions from ASP.NET web services

We're using Flex 2 to communicate with some ASP.NET 2.0 web services. All is fine until we raise an exception from the web service (we construct a SoapException object and throw it). No matter what we do, we get the same error on the Flex side:

      Error: [IOErrorEvent type="ioError" bubbles=false cancelable=false eventPhase=2 text="Error #2032: Stream Error. URL: http://localhost/mysvc/user.asmx" URL: http://localhost/mysvc/user.asmx".

In the debugger, we can't see any of the server fault information passed back.

We've tested the service with Ruby's (1.8.5) soap library (soap/wsdlDriver) and it works fine - the SoapException is passed back and we can access the fault information.

      Has anyone else experienced this?
