If your CS3 is an upgrade which requires your CS2 serial number, the only way I know to find your information is for you to go to your account page
https://www.adobe.com/account.html for serial numbers on your Adobe page
If your serial number is not there, nobody in an open forum is going to be able to help
I looked there already. Apparently, Adobe gave out SN's; I found some on at adobe.com, but they are not supported.
It looks like Creative Cloud is the only choice I have. Graphics, photos, etc. are not my primary focus, but it is something that I enjoy and do a lot. Nonetheless, my understanding is that the only way to get adobe products is through Creative Cloud. Is this correct?
There is a SPECIAL serial number for CS2 that will probably not work for a CS3 upgrade http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/policy-pricing/creative-suite-2-activation-end-life.htm l
You may still buy CS6 which has a perpetual license... Premiere Pro to get the bundled Encore Creative Suite 6
That's good to know and I checked it out. Because I can get a teacher/student subscription, I think I will go that way. Since my CS3 was just loaded onto my new Mac Mini, there is a thirty day window for me to decide. The Creative Cloud complete edition will be quite extensive and constantly up to date so that is likely what I will do.
Thanks for answering my question. Best wishes.
