i keep updating my adobe flash but it still says flash out of date?? mac

Ive tried going into apple> system preferences > adobe flash> advanced>check now and then downloading it and i get to a page that says thank you for downloading. Then if I try to watch a youtube video it says flash out of date. Also then if I go to check now again it will have me download it again. Please help!! Ive restarted my computer, quit safari, restarted safari pressing the shift, everything! please help.
